Sheik Gumi Visits Notorious Bandits In Zamfara Forests
A renowned Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Dr Abubakar Mahmoud Gumi, on Tuesday visited some bandits in the forests of Shinkafi and Gummi LGAs of Zamfara State. The Punch reports that Gumi’s visit to the camps was to spread the message of Islam and peace to the Fulani herdsmen and rid the country of kidnappings and banditry.
The renowned scholar and his entourage were said to have first gone to the forest of Tubali and Makkai in Shinkafi LGA which were under the control of armed Fulani herdsmen.

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has said there is no opposition party in the South-South state. Wike said this on Thursday at the flag-off of the 11th flyover project at the Rumuola- Ikwerre Road-Rumuokwuta Roundabout in Obio Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
