The National Legal Adviser of the Labour Party (LP), Kehinde Edun has condemned the Lamidi Apapa faction for claiming the party did not pay party agents in the 2023 presidential election.
Edun described the statement of the faction’s spokesman, Abayomi Arabambi during an interview with Punch as lies.
Speaking on the issue of not presenting documents from polling units at the presidential tribunal, Edun noted that the ones requested by the court are from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and not party agents.
Northern CAN Disowns Dogara, Babachir Over Muslim-Muslim Ticket
The northern chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has distanced itself from the meeting held in Abuja by the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, former Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), Lawal Babachir and others with chairmen of the CAN from the region. Dogara, Babachir and others had met over the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the All Progressives Congress.
Northern CAN in its reaction said it had taken a position on the Muslim-Muslim ticket and does not have anything to do with the meeting.
Pro-Osinbajo Group Reveals VP Stance On Presidential Ambition
The Osinbajo Global Movement has described the recent viral reports that the Vice President has denied his 2023 presidential ambition as false. The group through its spokesperson, Chukwuma Azuka, in a statement on Tuesday, 15 March, urged Nigerians to disregard the report described as a “worthless piece of article issued in bad faith and taste.”
According to Azuka, the Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) will contest the 2023 presidential election.

Supreme Court Releases CTC Of December Judgement
The Certified True Copy (CTC) of the December judgment on the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has been officially released by the Supreme Court. The apex court, according to Kanu’s Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, has assured that the IPOB leader’s case file will be forwarded to the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday.
Ejimakor, who confirmed the development through a post on his X handle, said Kanu’s legal team and the federal government will soon engage at the the federal high court.

Security operatives of the the Ogun State Police Command have apprehended a pastor for planning with his wife to defile a 16-year old. The pastor, Peter Taiwo who is attached to Christ Apostolic Bible church, Alaja Oke, Saje, Abeokuta allegedly connived with his wife, Elizabeth Taiwo to rape a 16-year old choir members in their church.
The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, released a statement saying that the suspects were arrested after the teenager lodged a complaint that while in church the pastor’s wife asked her to go to the clergyman’s room because he wanted to send her on an errand.

SERAP Issues 7 Days Ultimatum To Buhari To Reverse Lecturers' Half-Salaries
The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has issued a seven-day ultimatum to President Muhammadu Buhari to revoke the illegal deduction of salaries of public university lecturers. Naija News reports that the Federal Government had withheld the salaries of the members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) after going on strike for over eight months.
