Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, and other Northern Christian leaders in his camp have revealed why they decided against supporting the presidential ambition of the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi. It would be recalled the leaders who rejected the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) announced on Friday that they would be supporting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Shedding more light on their decision, a statement released by the group revealed that they didn’t support Obi because they don’t believe he can win the 2023 presidential election.

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Doyin Okupe, has disclosed that the former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, will be on the ballot paper in the 2023 presidential election. Okupe made this known after submitting Obi’s resignation letter to the National Chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu, at the part’s National Secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters, the Coordinator for the Peter Obi Presidential Campaign stated that the former governor is not desperate to be President, but he’s desperate to cause a change.
